to get a clear view you need to know that indian caste categorization is different from reservation . Reddy means last name given to rulers , all reddy subcastes used to be heads of areas , they have kapu in their caste original name like  panta kapu , velanati kapu, Pakanati kapu , palle kapu etc. Basing on their area of origin pakanadu velanadu etc some being land lord like panta which means crop and palle is derived from being village heads and landlords , reservation system is based on socio economic status at the time of British rule as per their analysis which is nowhere related to Indian caste system so why Velamas stay in different categories . For Reddys only they have fallen under OBC . Checking any existing record of reddy subcastes you will have palle subcaste in it

First of all, I want to tell you that I am presently a B.Tech student only so I have some idea about this.

I have taken CSE core for my first year because without specialization for first year, will automatically let you know that in which field you are able to get good scope and you are also talented in that.

You can take CSE with AI and ML also for First year, there are no disadvantages for it but only one specialization subject will add and you have to clear the semester exams in all subjects.

According to me, if you want to take then choose CSE core for first year because colleges have provision that, if a student scores more than 8.5 GPA score in his/her semester exam for first year then he can shift between the courses easily.

So, There is an alternative option already available for you. Only you have to give better output in your first year exams for changing the stream.

There are total 4 steps to this :
