I have GMR of 8699 and SC rank IS 563. Which branch of JU will I will get after spot round or decentralised counselling?

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 14th Aug, 2021

Hi

In wbjee all the seats are alloted on the basis of GMR rank and not your category rank.

This is very difficult to predict because cut off keeps changing every year depending upon a number of factors like

--------) number of students that appeared in the WBJEE exam

--------)difficulty level of the WBJEE examination

--------)Kind of marks obtained by the students in the WBJEE exam

--------) number of students from different categories

--------) seats available for different branches etc

But yes,

With your 8699 GMR  , considering your category as sc

On the basis of 2020, wbjee cut  off data , you  have good chances in Jadavapur university in following branches

  • Metallurgical Engineering:-9445

  • Engineering/Power Plant Engineering:-10789

  • Printing Engineering/Printing Technology:-12289

  • Food Technology And Bio Chemical Engineering:- 12107

As per 2020 cut off available at Official website :- https://admissions.nic.in/wbjeebcouns2019/wbjeebcouns2019/orcr/PrevYearORCR.aspx

To have a personalised report on your chances of getting a college you can go through our WBJEE college predictor, it will give you complete list of colleges which you can get on the basis of the category you belong to,  your , your gender etc the link for  WBJEE  college predictor is provided below

how to get scolarship in London business school and other expensive college?

theeanonymous 31st Jan, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

Scholarships ,particularly in such premium institutions are entirely merit based. Many students will apply for the same and only the most deserving candidate will qualify for the same. Usually scholarship details and all the eligibility requirements  will be given clearly in their official website ,so it is better to personally check them out. Scholarship criteria in universities might be different for candidates from different countries. So you can search in detail about London School Of Business India scholarship. For MBA scholarship at LBS , they require the candidate to have at least 2 years of work experience and in terms of academic merit , English Proficiency scores such as IELTS  or PTE, qualifying entrance scores such as GMAT  / GRE and you bachelors scores will be evaluated. To apply for the same , you may visit their website.

For  other universities as well, similar criteria should be met by the candidate ,so you should visit their sites to know more.

All the best
