The total course fee for bachelor of engineering in Computer Science and Engineering (BE) is about 7 lakh in total. According to the students data the placement rate is near about 90% in agreegate . Sorry to inform you but you don't seem to have a decent academics to get calls from IIMs. Despite your OBC status, a score of 70% + in your academics along with 97/98 percentile could have helped you get a call from the baby IIMs too.

However don't get disheartened. Aim for 99 percentile. There might be chances of calls from the new IIMs or other equally good management colleges.

IET Lucknow is one of good reputed colleges in state. The placement in CS/IT or EC branch is good with more than 70% of students placed with an average package around 4 lacs. The companies coming for placement is mostly IT companies that are TCS,NEWGEN etc.  which are the mass recruiter companies. ADOBE comes with a package offering more than 10 lacs but only 3 or 4 students are placed ..For EC and EI no core company in their field comes and they are mostly placed in IT companies. For core branches like electrical and mechanical only 3–4 students are placed in core company with around 8 lacs but for the rest students the placement is nil ..the companies visit in college for these branches are Honda and tech Mahindra. For the civil branch the campus placement is nil. For chemical branch TATA Chemicals visit the campus and recruits few students with good package. But also the off campus placement of college are good. recently one of our seniors bagged a package of 60 lacs(off campus) from EC branch. Students get great rank in GATE in almost all the branches and get selected for PSUs. Some go foreign for higher education, some qualify CAT and choose one of IIMs or other top reputed colleges of MBA .. Overall the campus placement is not up to the mark but you will get sufficient time to shape your future.
