can anyone tell me how many percentile I need to get admission in IET lucknow..? I am general EWS with home state qouta .

Sharon Rose Student Expert 30th Jun, 2021

Hello,

Institute of Engineering and Technology, Lucknow is a Government College. Until last year the admission to Engineering courses was done based on marks scored in UPSEE which is a state level Entrance Examination. From this year the admission will be done based on JEE Main score. As this is the first time that JEE Main score will be considered the cut off is unknown. To know the cut off you have to wait till the counselling is concluded because the cut off will be declared after the end of the counselling. As there is no previous data available you should aim to score a decent percentile to be on the safe side. IET, Lucknow is one of the top Institutes in Uttar Pradesh so the cut off will be comparatively higher so a safe score would be 92-96 percentile in JEE Main for General EWS category. This is an estimated percentile score the actual cut off percentile may vary depending on the total number of candidates appeared, difficulty level of examination and total number of seats available etc.

I want rmnlu lucknow I am obc student of up. how much number should I bring in clat 2021.

Sharon Rose Student Expert 20th May, 2021

Hello,

You haven't specified the level of course in which you are seeking admission. According to the details available in your profile we consider that you are seeking admission to UG level course. In 2020 a candidate belonging to OBC category with All India Rank 2564  secured seat in Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University, Lucknow in Under Graduate Law course. Considering the previous year cut off the ideal score to secure such rank is the range of 110-120 marks or more. The marks mentioned are indicative marks, the actual rank may vary with the given estimated score. The cut off changes every year depending on the total number of candidates appeared, difficulty level of examination and total number of seats available etc. To check the previous year cut off for NLUs click on the link below

I got 97.77 percentile in jee mains 2021 I am an obc student .. can I get IIIT Lucknow CSE

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 27th Jun, 2021

Hi

With  97.77 percentile

Your obc rank will be around 6000.

It is quite difficult to make prediction but yes as per past year trend , you hold a low chance to get a seat in IIIT Lucknow for CSE

For example,

In 6th round of josaa counselling 2020, 4810 obc rank for obc category for gender neutral  was closing rank to get a seat in  Computer science in IIIT Lucknow

You can check the same at

https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx

But yes,

You have chances in following IIITs for computer science-

  • Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design & Manufacturing, Kancheepuram- 6794 obc rank

  • Indian Institute of Information Technology, Agartala- 14775 obc rank

  • Indian Institute of Information Technology Guwahati- 7936 obc rank

And a few more

Above prediction is on the basis of past year data but  cut off/closing rank for colleges keeps changing every year depending upon many factors like number of students that appeared in the examination, difficulty level of the JEE main question paper for different shifts etc so

To have a personalised report on your chances of getting a college you can go through our college predictor, it will give you complete list of colleges which you can get on the basis of the category you belong to,  your home state, your gender etc, the link for  jee main college predictor is provided below

i got 138 marks in jee mains 2021 can i get IET LUCKNOW in the year 2021

Anurag Khanna 27th Jun, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

If we go through the analysis of marks Vs Percentile Vs rank for JEE-Main 2020 then according to the marks mentioned by you in the question your percentile is expected to be in the range of 96.69 - 98.09 , you can check out marks Vs ranks Vs Percentile from the link given below :-

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-marks-vs-percentile

Or

You can also use JEE-Main Rank Predictor to predict your rank :-

https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-rank-predictor

Now as we know that this is the first time when engineering institutions of UP especially those that are affiliated to AKTU are taking admission through JEE-Main score instead of UPSEE so at this point of time it is quite difficult to predict your admission chances on the basis of previous year's analysis but with such percentile you would have some decent chances to get IET Lucknow but still this prediction can change in actual because this is the first time when admissions are to be taken through JEE-Main.

To have a list of all those colleges which you can get based upon your marks, category, and state you can use JEE-Main College Predictor:-

https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer

If you are preparing for JEE-Main 2021 or 2022 then I would recommend you to check the resources made by our experts to help aspirants like you in the best and smart preparation of JEE-Main 2021 or 2022 :-

PhD from Lucknow University with out entrance 2021

Atul Singh 25th Jun, 2021

Dear Sango,

Lucknow university takes direct admission only when the seats are left vacant after the entrance examination, and mostly seats are left from the courses like B.tech/MCA/MBA only, others seats are already filled by counselling of entrance examination mostly for PG degrees.

So there is very less chance that you will get admission in PHD without entrance exam, now you haven't given the Entrance exam then you can either wait for the next year or in other reputed Universities.

Best of Luck!!!

Should I take VIT Vellore CSE category 3 or Amity University Lucknow as a backup options? I am looking forward to get admission in JIIT NOIDA, GGSIPU colleges and Top 10 COMEDK Colleges. Also will I get admission in JIIT Noida CS if my PCM agg. is 86 % and my overall score in class 12 is 88%?

Anushri Varshney 24th Jun, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

Yes, you can take the VIT Vellore Category 3 CSE, because, in the end, it is the VIT that has a brand name and the education and placements are also very good along with the opportunities the college provides to the students.

See, JIIT Noida takes admission based on ranks and marks scored in JEE mains. You can apply for admission to JIIT as you have scored more than 70% in the science stream. Students who have scored more than 70% in the science stream are eligible. It varied from course to course.

Thank you!

Amity University Lucknow CSE or UPES DEHRADUN CSE. Which has good placement record and cheaper fees.

ginnisachdeva02_9364270 Student Expert 20th Jun, 2021

Hi Aspirant!

See, both colleges are expensive but comparatively Amity University Lucknow is less expensive than UPES. The fee for only 1st semster of UPES is equal to 2 semester fee of Amity. The placement record of UPES for B.Tech CSE is better than Amity. The highest salary package at Amity is around 15 LPA but at UPES it is around 44LPA. The companies visiting the Amity are Wipro, Axis bank, Infogain, HCL etc. The companies visiting the UPES for recruitment are Microsoft , Google, IBM, TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Amazon,  Rakuten, Hitachi, HCL, Nagarro, VMware, ZS Associates, Cognizant, TTN, etc.

Thankyou!
