Any rank around and beyond 1000 makes it difficult to get admission in the desired course. Since the seats the less, most of the time the students intake touches 500 rank or so, in general. You should continue to apply for Masters in other Universities while hoping to get the call letter from Banaras Hindu University. It is unlikely but there are always chances.
