If you are talking about B.Tech. Entrance Examination, then It is very difficult to get admission with this rank. Since, It is only good engineering college of Purvanchal UP, So lots of candidate go for it. Competition is very high there and your rank is not good

Lateral entry is like direct entry in 2nd year of course like mca, btech etc. If you have done any diploma in engineering field after 12th then you can get the direct admission in 2nd year that is called lateral entry.
