Im planning to give MHTCET, but I dont have the domicile certificate right now, I completed my Tenth from Maharashtra, after that I did education in another state, is there any problem will be,

Aditi amrendra Student Expert 7th Jan, 2020
Hello,

General eligibility criteria for MHTCET is that candidate should have passed HSC/12th class exam or its equivalent examination are eligible for appearing in MHT CET 2020.

But If you want to take advantage of state quota then you must have domicile certificate and for that the condition is that a candidate should have passed HSC/equivalent exam with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects with any one of the subjects Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical/ Vocational subjects. In these subjects taken together, the candidates should have secured a minimum of 50 % marks (for General Category) and at least 45% marks (for reserved category and Persons with Disability candidates) belonging to Maharashtra State only).

I hope this helps.

I am working in gulf country and my daughter is now in 7th. I need to know if she is to be qualify for general quota and apply for MHT CET what is the minimum education to be taken in maharashtra. or if she shtudy till 12th in gu, can she appear for MH CET and get adimssion in general quota.

Harshita Gupta 15th Jan, 2020
Hey Avinash,

According to the eligibility criteria, the candidate should be of Indian nationality only. So, if your daughter is of Indian nationality, then she is eligible.
Taking about minimum qualification, the candidate must have passed HSC or equivalent qualification with Physics and mathematics as compulsory subjects and one of the subjects from chemistry/biology/biotechnology/vocational training.
The minimum score should be 50% agregate of all the subjects.
There is no such notification regarding the place of completion of 12th. They have stated that 10+2 should be from a recognised board but it hasn't been mentioned that it should be from India only.
Furthermore, the candidates who are children of NRI/OCI/POI or whose parents are indian workers in the gulf countries are exempted from giving the examination. This means that your daughter will not have to give the examination, but she will be given direct admission based on the scores in the qualifying examination (HSC or equivalent).
But, make sure you have all the necessary documents while you apply.
Incase you still have doubt, you can contact their helpline numbers.
