KJ Somaiya is a autonomous college while VESIT is affiliated by the Mumbai University. both are great institutions. But if you are inclined towards sports and other activities, go with KJ Somaiya. If your marks are good, put KJ Somaiya above VESIT.Also note that fees for KJ Somaiya is much higher than that for VESIT.

The provisional caste certificate might help you now in filling up the category in which you belong and getting the reservation from that category quota.

But till the time you have to you get a valid category certificate and submitted at the verification Centre to confirm your admission in that allotted college.
