Board results are not considered unless two or more candidates get the same scores. In case of equal scores, it is called a tie. The tie is then broken with the help of the board results in the following manner (this is applicable for 5 year course only)

Hello Swati, as you might be aware, cutoffs are different for every branch and every category in a given college, talking about general, you should get atleast around 130 marks, to get into VJTI Textile Engg, higher marks required for higher branch.
