Question : Improve the underlined part of the sentence. Choose 'No improvement' as an answer if the sentence is grammatically correct.
The sun was shining through the window.
Option 1: was shines
Option 2: No improvement
Option 3: were shined
Option 4: were shining
Correct Answer: No improvement
Solution : The second option is the correct choice.
The original sentence effectively communicates the idea that the sun was shining through the window, and there is no grammatical error or improvement needed in this context. Since the subject sun is singular, it should be followed by the singular verb was in this case, as per subject-verb agreement.
Therefore, the correct choice is no improvement.

Hello,
As far as your rank is concerned , you have more chances to get ece branch at vasavi rather than the other two colleges. In the other two colleges you have more chances to get core branches like electrical , mechanical, civil.
However various factors are considered while deciding the cut offs like number of candidates appearing in the examination, number of vacant seats in college, previous years cut offs and difficulty level of the paper.
If you can check out the colleges you can get, you can check out the link given below -
