I am a student of iem Kolkata under MAKAUT. can I give the wbjee exam next year in order to get JU??. if yes then can I cancel my registration under makaut??

Abir Gayen 25th Nov, 2020

Hi Aspirant,

JU is an autonomous university and follows its own course syllabus. So in case you are leaving iem which is under makaut ,after a certain period of time your registrations gets automatically cancelled since you left the college and the college has stopped sending registration amount nedded at time of each semester. So in that case your applications get automatically cancelled. However if you join a college under makaut next year then you have to cancel registration from your college placement officer and inform him about the transfer and he may arrange a migration or transfer certificate officially from makaut. You have to reach out to the college administration and inform about the change to cancel registration.

Hope it helps!!

MAKAUT in house vs ADAMAS vs NSHM vs NSEC for non-engeenering courses?

arpan00002 17th Nov, 2020

Hi aspirant,

You asked for the comparison among makaut, nshm & nsec for the non engineering courses.

Look, for placement for the non engineering courses, no one of these colleges are good. Still, if you ask, I will say the best option is NSEC. It is under techno india group. The main recruiter for  nsec is tcs. Besides, cts, wipro, l n t infotech etc also visit the campus. Salary package for non engineering courses varies from 2 to 4 lpa.

All the best   !!

Soumili Majumdar 25th Oct, 2020
Hello there,
Yes, you can change your stream to CSE but for that you need to be eligible for that. After first year you get an option for changing your branch. You need to score a minimum marks so that you are eligible for CSE branch in the college. If you do not meet the criteria, your request for branch change will not be accepted.
Hope this information helps you.

Mohammed Faiz 23rd Oct, 2020

Hello Aspirant,

First of all you should know your field of Intrest before deciding as these both options are totally different categories so it's difficult to say because both have their own benefits.

But if your confused to do Masters in Electronics and Instrumentation or Masters in Power Electronics Device.

Then I would suggest you to go for Masters in Electronics and Instrumentation at University institute of technology, Burdwan University. You could work in various job profiles and obtain great salary packages if compared with Masters in power electronics devices.

So overall I advise you to go for Masters in Electronics and Instrumentation in Burdwan University.

Hope this helps

Good Luck

Hello,

For admission B.E and B.Tech in Biotechnology, the college accepts admission through WBJEE (West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination).
For admission in B.Sc courses, the college conducts entrance test in the campus itself.
Since its a state government university , the fees is normal with 2-3 lakhs for the entire course.
