can I get Malviya National institute of technology (NIT) Jaipur with 80.54 jee main percentile, I am OBC NCL candidate as well as its in my home state?

Sowmya Konkala 28th Mar, 2021

hello aspirant,

80.54 percentile  could fetch you a rank around 199076-223790 and obc ncl category rank around 40000 .now these are based on previous year analysis .As of now its tough to say because the analysis and also cutoffs change every year due to many factors like total students appearing for exam, difficulty level of paper etc.based on your rank you have tough to no chances to fetch seat in government colleges like nits, iiits.you need a minimum percentile of 96-98+ to fetch seat in nits, iiits.even for gfti the last cutoff of category rank is below 22000 . however you can try to fetch seat in private colleges or universities.or you can try the state btech colleges using jeemain percentile. you need better percentile to fetch seat.workhard for the upcoming jeemain sessions..however once check your homestate cutoff for gfti.you can get closing rank for josaa official website: https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx

.for more information to get a personalised report on what all chances you have for your rank refer to: https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer

hope this helps,

thankyou.

if my percentile is 98 then what is my ews rank according to jee 2021 can I get mnit jaipurwith good branch like it sector

chandni deb 27th Mar, 2021

Dear Aspirant,

as per the cutoff of the previous years and your acquired rank in JEE Mains 2021 along with your above specified category, there are good chances you will be able to secure a seat in MNIT Jaipur. However, the chances for you to get a seat in IT branch is less. Some of the other branches you are eligible for are,

  • Chemical Engineering
  • Civil Engineering
  • Metallurgical and Materials Engineering

As these predictions are based on last years cutoff there are chances for it to vary. To get a more accurate prediction, you can take help of the college predictor tool provided in the link given below.

My JEE Mains 2021 percentile is 98.23 . I am a general delhi candidate . At this percentile which decent branch can I get in MNIT Jaipur?

sahilschavans63 26th Mar, 2021
Hi candidate,
As your rank falls between 18104 and 20355, you are not elligible for all branches but are elligible for only 2 branches according to last year's cutoff.
These are:
Chemical engineering
Civil engineering
If you are aiming for other branches like IT, ENTC, CSE, electrical, mechanical then have a try to other private colleges. You will definitely get a better collage as your score is very good.

sir i am gating 94.7280757 percentile in jee main i want admession in MNIT Jaipur in civil branch. i am from ST catgory and my home state is Rajasthan, it is possible or not?

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 25th Mar, 2021

Hi

With 94.7280757 percentile

Your st rank will be around 500-1000.

With this rank you have low  have chances in MNIT jaipur for civil even being from st under home state

For example,

In 6th round of josaa counselling 2020, under home state quota 418 st rank  was closing rank for gender neutral for st category in MNIT jaipur for civil engineering

You can check the same at

https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx

But yes you have chances in following branches in MNIT Jaipur with your St rank under home state :-

  • Electronics and communication

  • Mechanical engineering

  • Metallurgical and Materials  engineering

Above prediction is on the basis of past year data but  cut off/closing rank for colleges keeps changing every year depending upon many factors like number of students that appeared in the examination, difficulty level of the JEE main question paper for different shifts etc so

To have a personalised report on your chances of getting a college you can go through our college predictor, it will give you complete list of colleges which you can get on the basis of the category you belong to,  your home state, your gender etc, the link for  jee main college predictor is provided below

Anurag Khanna 25th Mar, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

Since you have not mentioned your category so considering it as General.

If we go through the analysis of marks Vs Percentile Vs rank for JEE-Main 2020 then according to the percentile mentioned by you in the question your CRL rank is expected to be in the range of 36828 - 41400 , you can check out marks Vs ranks Vs Percentile from the link given below :-

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-marks-vs-percentile

Or

You can also use JEE-Main Rank Predictor to predict your rank :-

https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-rank-predictor

As we go through the latest cut-offs of JEE-Main 2020 of JOSAA 6th round then it shows that :-

Closing CRL rank for NIT Jaipur was  :

  • Metallurgical and Materials Engineering branch - 30757 (Home state quota)
  • Metallurgical and Materials Engineering branch - 36000 (Other state quota)

So you have quite less chances to get NIT Jaipur even if you have Home state quota. But yes if you improve your percentile in any further session of JEE-Main like around 97-98 then you might have a shot at NIT Jaipur.
