Pooja Kumari 3rd Jul, 2019
Hello Manikant, usually Management quota seats are not filled through counselling. For admission under Management Quota, you need to contact the college directly. So irrespective of your rank and marks, you can get a seat in SDM Medical College.

I have scored 58 marks in paper 1 and 90 marks in paper 2. Have I qualified the passing criteria for June 2019 exam

Devangshi Gupta 10th Jul, 2019

Dear Aspirant,

There is nothing called pass marks in jee mains per se.

It depends on you what's your idea of being pass in this examination, your extent of preparation, motivation, target and aptitude. So, following are the slabs in which a aspirant falls,

  1. If you want to write this exam just for the sake of it :- Like, if you just filled the jee form mechanically and didn't prepare consciously because you know you don't want to get in any renowned institution for engineering. Any college will do good for you then any marks scored will be good.
  2. If you want officially clear the cutoff marks:- If you are someone who want passing marks to clear the cutoff and to be eligible for jee advance than a score of 74 for general, 45 for obc is required.(as per 2018 cutoff marks). So to be safe a score of 80+ will be good. However this score will lead you nowhere if you fail to make it to the IITs through JEE advance.
  3. If you want to get into any NIT or other gfti:- Some of the premier institution accept students through their jee mains score like DTU, nsit, iiest etc then you have to score slightly more than the cutoff. With that score you can also get into some NIT also. Some govt organisation also accept the jee mains score like DRDO. So for that the average score over the years is between 130–160.
  4. If you want your favorite/best NIT with your choice of branch:- So if you want to study your choice of subject in the premier institution then you have to outperform the fellow aspirants who are equally competitive( those who are targeting for such choices). Your marks should be above 260.
  5. If you only want to top the exam :- Only way to be sure about this is by scoring 100% I.e. 360 marks. Because you never know when a guy like veerval come and score full marks.

Best of luck for your exam…hope you score good.

Thank you

How are the hostels at MS Ramaiah for MBBS Students?

DEBASISH PADHY 2nd Jul, 2019
Hello !

The university offers multiple courses and the campus has multiple hostel for their students .
These hostels are different in terms of quality price and amenities. You can find about the each on their university website and choose the one that suits you the most . Overall the university hostels don't have a good reputation . So instead of booking a nri hostel you can choose to stay outside. Because in the University hostel the laundry WiFi and food is quite bad . So if you are looking for a good accommodation you can look out somewhere . I can suggest you Stanza Living it's great . With all facilities.
Hope this helps

Learning mcq only for general awareness for dujat and Pratham material is enough...Will it help me score ??????pls answer

Nikhil Pareek 3rd Jul, 2019

Hello Arushi,

Yes going for MCQs is really good technique but it might not be sufficient as tou might get stuck to some relevant question at some point and will regret it. The better strategy could be that you go for key points instead of MCQs and then solving MCQs based on those points so that you will get an idea about how a question can be moulded in different ways.

Hope it helped you. :)

Hi..on the MCC site(in the participating institution column) it has only two types of seats aiq seats and management/paid seats?

Jigyashu Nager 8th Jul, 2019

Dear Isha,

As you mentioned, that in participating institution column of MCC there it's showing AIQ seats and management seats but on the official website where it's only showing about AIQ seats, deemed seats and certain universities seats. Moreover, there are rules that no deemed university can take admissions by management quota.

I hope that'll help you, Best of luck with your further career prospects.
