You must  have passed class 12 in any discipline and you have to meet the cutoff of the college where you want to take admission to be eligible for the undergraduate course. In addition, you have to clear the entrance test if that college conducts any.

When you do not attend a regular college and take online classes or weekend classes at the distance study centre of a particular institute/university. For ex. Sikkim Manipal University which has distance learning centres all across the country.
