By just qualifying NEET with 50th percentile will I be eligible to opt for management quota in IQ City Medical College (being a domicile of WB)?

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 21st Oct, 2020

Shamik, there are 3 Categories in Private Medical Colleges. Category A is the Government Quota Seats. And only candidates of the home State are eligible to apply for these seats. B Category seats are also called Management Quota Seats and they are filled through State Counselling and the remaining seats are filled through direct Admissions by contacting the College directly provided the Candidate has registered for the respective State Counselling and has not been able to secure a seat in the Counselling. This is where you might have a chance by just scoring the qualifying score in NEET. Direct admission. Here the fees is usually nothing less than 40 lakhs. The last Category is NRI seats Category and you cannot apply for that.

my sister have scored above 400 in neet exams can she take admission in any government college with management quota

Shoaib Akhtar 10th Sep, 2020

hello ashoka

management quota is government authorised mechanism provided to private or deemed universities  by which students can take direct admissions in institute .

management quota is only applicable to private or deemed colleges since they don't receive any grants from government .so getting into a government college doesn't seems practical to me .however try to gather more informations about it as i am saying this by my own personal experience

I am from Maharashtra. My NEET score is 485. I belong to OBC and comes from hill area. what are chances to get admission to MBBS in Government / private collage ? I dont have capacity to take admission in management quota.

Nandhini Student Expert 20th Oct, 2020

Hello student,

With a score of around 485, your predicted all india rank is between 61,000 - 73,000. Your chances of getting a medical college is very less as Last year, a score of 487 was required to procure a seat in Ashwini rural medical college and hospital and research centre, for which the closing ranks were around 57,000. Yet, ranks and scores vary each year depending on state quotas, difficulty level of the question paper and so on. However, you can also predict the colleges which you are likely to get using the below mentioned link:
