Shamik, there are 3 Categories in Private Medical Colleges. Category A is the Government Quota Seats. And only candidates of the home State are eligible to apply for these seats. B Category seats are also called Management Quota Seats and they are filled through State Counselling and the remaining seats are filled through direct Admissions by contacting the College directly provided the Candidate has registered for the respective State Counselling and has not been able to secure a seat in the Counselling. This is where you might have a chance by just scoring the qualifying score in NEET. Direct admission. Here the fees is usually nothing less than 40 lakhs. The last Category is NRI seats Category and you cannot apply for that.
hello ashoka
management quota is government authorised mechanism provided to private or deemed universities by which students can take direct admissions in institute .
management quota is only applicable to private or deemed colleges since they don't receive any grants from government .so getting into a government college doesn't seems practical to me .however try to gather more informations about it as i am saying this by my own personal experience
Hello student,
With a score of around 485, your predicted all india rank is between 61,000 - 73,000. Your chances of getting a medical college is very less as Last year, a score of 487 was required to procure a seat in Ashwini rural medical college and hospital and research centre, for which the closing ranks were around 57,000. Yet, ranks and scores vary each year depending on state quotas, difficulty level of the question paper and so on. However, you can also predict the colleges which you are likely to get using the below mentioned link:

Hello Aspirant,
In India all 23 states offer 37,690 MBBS seats for admission through the management quota in private colleges for which aspirants have to apply separately. For management quota seats in private MBBS college there is no domicile criteria required, so aspirants from any state can register for counselling for MBBS admission through management quota seats for any competent state authority. In order to apply for MBBS admission, candidates have to pay the requisite application fee and fill the form and need to register themselves successfully. Every state has its own counselling procedure, which includes the release of state MBBS merit list, filling of online or offline choices/preferences of colleges. Based on the choices made, availability of seats, NEET UG merit position, reservation criteria and various other determining factors, admission to MBBS seats to private college management quota will be granted. Candidates have to report at the allotted college based on their MBBS seats allotment.
Candidates must note that every state has its own sets of regulations for granting MBBS admission through management quota. So, aspirants are advised to visit the competent authority and know the details about their eligibility for MBBS admission through management quota.
