I got 82 marks in met out of 240 what are my chances of getting a cse branch in Manipal University Jaipur

Snahel Patra 23rd May, 2025

Scoring 82 out of 240 in the Manipal Entrance Test means your r ank is likely to be above 40,000, based on previous years’ trends. Unfortunately, this rank is quite low for CSE Stream at Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT), especially at the main Manipal campus.

A general idea of MET rank cutoffs for CSE at Manipal:

  • Manipal campus (main): CSE cutoffs are typically under 3,000–4,000 rank.

  • Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology (SMIT) and Manipal University Jaipur (MUJ) may have higher cutoff ranks for CSE — sometimes up to 15,000–20,000 or more.

I GOT 83 MARKS IN MET(manipal entrance test) AND I HAVE 90.53% IN MPC 12TH CLASS WHAT ARE MY CHANCES TO GET CSE/ECE IN ANY MANIPAL COLLEGE. CSE HAVE HIGHER PREFERENCE. thanks

Niharika Patibandla 23rd Jun, 2025

Hey there! Firstly congratulations for securing a good score! with 83 marks in MET( Manipal Entrance Test) and 90.53% in MPC 12th, getting CSE in Manipal main campus is difficult, as CSE has high demand and usually needs a much higher MET score. However ECE branch  has a good demand but may be slightly easier to get than CSE.  However you may have better chance for CSE or ECE in Manipal's sister campus like MIT Bangalore or Jaipur, where the cutoffs would be usually lower. If CSE is your top choice, you can consider these campuses or improve your MET score in second attempt if available.

If you need more assistance regarding counseling and applications feel free to ask. All the best!

harsh singh 23rd May, 2025

With 94 marks in MET and 86.5% in PCME, you have a good chance of getting ECE or EEE at Manipal main campus.

Just make sure to attend counselling and list both branches in your preferences.

i have got 81 marks in MET and i have around 74% in cbse boards what are my chances of getting any branch in Karnataka

Anushree Thakare 30th Jul, 2025

Hello,

With 81 marks in MET and 74% in CBSE boards, your chances of getting a seat in a desirable branch, especially Computer Science, at Manipal University's main campus in Karnataka are low, but not impossible.

A score of 81 in MET generally translates to a rank above 40,000.Closing ranks for popular branches like Computer Science often fall within the 10,000-20,000 range.

Consider exploring other campuses within the Manipal group or focusing on less competitive branches.

You may have a better chance in less competitive branches or specializations at any of the campuses.

Keep an eye on spot admissions or lateral entry options, as cutoffs may drop in these rounds.

I recommend you to check the article below, you will find it helpful

i got 166 marks in met and 97.4 percentage in board exam can i get manipal campus in cse branch

gopi 22nd May, 2025

Hello Aspirant,

Given your MET score of 166 and a board exam score of 97.4%, you have a reasonable chance of getting CSE at the Manipal campus, though it will definitely be a little competitive. In the last few years, CSE in Manipal usually has a cutoff of around 170-180+ in MET. However, a high board percentage should help marginally in tiebreakers or merit-based ranking.

Even if you do not get core CSE, there is a fair chance of a related branch like IT or Data Science at Manipal or CSE at the Jaipur or Sikkim campuses. I would watch out after the counselling rounds, cutoffs tend to vary slightly each year.

I got 141/240 in MET for Msc clinical psychology at Manipal University. Can i expect an interview call , if yes by when do they inform about that? What are the chances of me getting admissions ?

Rajeswari 22nd May, 2025

Hello Aspirant,

MET (Manipal Entrance Test) cutoff for an M.Sc. program at Manipal University is above 190. Candidates are advised to secure minimum 190 marks or above out of the total 240 marks. This will allow the candidates to have a higher chance of securing admissions into their preferred course and campus.

According to your marks, may be you wont get into your preferred course but these are possible chances that you might get another course and campus with this range of marks. The authorities will consider various factors while preparing the cutoff of MET 2025, such as the previous year's trends, the difficulty level of the entrance exam, the number of applicants, the total number of seats available, etc. The MET 2025 cutoff will vary as per the candidate's selected category, course and campus. MET 2025 seat allotment will be done as per the candidate's rank, preferences, category and seat availability.

For more information and details you can visit the official website of this university. The link is attached herewith.

If you are selected for an interview at Manipal Institute of Communication after your Manipal Entrance Test (MET), you will be informed of the interview date and time through email, according to the institute's website. The Personal Interview (PI) and Group Discussion (GD) are part of the admission process, and the dates are communicated separately to the candidates. You will receive an email communication at every step of the admission process.

I hope you got your answer. All the best.
