which of these schools would you rate as top 2 best colleges for engineering? 1) VELORE INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY 2) KIIT 3) SRM UNIVERSITY 4) MANIPAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY 5) CHANDIGARH UNIVERSITY

sureshkumarlaasya 2nd Nov, 2020

Hello aspirant,

I would rate like this

1. Vellore institute of Technology

2. SRM

3. KIIT

Vellore institute of technology will definitely stand at first place because of its Greta placements and beautiful Infrastructure and it's Fully Flexible Credit System (FFCS) due to which you can choose your timetable according to your convenience. Also it has students from all over India and around the world as well. It's definitely a good choice.

SRM is also a really good college with SRM AP (AMRAVATI) being an exceptionally beautiful campus.

KIIT also has good placements.

I am interested in robotics. And going to join B.Tech now. I have 2 options in MIT,Manipal.1 ELECTRONICS and INSTRUMENTATION 2 Mechatronics. Which one should I choose for my robotics future Can anyone please suggest me the best one.

Tarreni Behera 31st Oct, 2020

Dear Aspirant,

You should really go for Mechatronics instead of electronics and Instrumentation. While in the latter you mostly learn about electronics and chips, in the former you learn about both electronics and mechanisms.

In Mechatronics, you will get to learn about physical systems modelling, sensors and actuators, signals and systems , computers and logic systems, software and data acquisition, etc. These key concepts shall be able to build you a strong fundamental base of robotics through which you can excel in your career. This branch has a lot of scope in future and Mechatronics is an absolute and continuously evolving integration of electrical and mechanical engineering.

The blending components of mechatronics are mechanical components, electro mechanical components, electronics, electronics software, software for mechanical components and computer science. As it is continuously evolving branch of engineering, more subjects are being integrated within its paradigm.

Mechatronics engineers work on projects like AI( Artificial Intelligence), robotics, control systems ,data communications and networks, Dynamics of machines and mechanisms, human interaction with machines , industrial automation management, smart infrastructure and so on.

Mechatronics is a rare branch and not all institutions have this particular branch with the qualified professors for guiding the students in the process.

I hope this information was helpful to you. Choose a branch which interests you more.

Can I get EIE at 28k in MIT Manipal? Two more rounds left and previous round cut-off was 19.6k.

Ritik goyal 20th Oct, 2020

Hello Aspirant,

Your data for previous round cut off is correct and if you go through the previous year EIE seat closing rank then it is about 31,000 and for previous to previous year it close only at rank 15,000. So in this case their is a chance to get this college with EIE branch. But still it is difficult to say on the confirmation basis that you can get this college with this branch or not because college seat is also depend upon various factors link: this year cut off, number of  students, state domicile and so on.

I hope that you will get this college with EIE branch and also hope that this information helps you.

Good Luck!!

What is the expected final round cutoff for EIE at MIT Manipal for 2020 after seeing the cutoffs from the previous rounds?

akashkumarpati.2000 16th Oct, 2020

Hey,

Manipal Academy of Higher Education hasn't released the official cut-off informations for MET 2020 till now, so of course we have to follow the previous year's cut-off details in this regard.

That's why I'm going to recommend you to go through the following website minutely to get detailed-oriented description regarding your query:

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/met-cutoff

You've not mentioned your category, so I'm assuming you as a General candidate.

From the above website, you can observe that the last qualifying rank for your desired stream, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering (EIE), in this eminent institution was 34700. Here it should be mentioned that cut-off marks depend on several determining factors like:

  • Number of appeared canditates
  • Number of successful candidates
  • Total number of available seats
  • Top score in MET 2020
  • Previous year's cut-off trend
  • Hardness level of the question paper

Hence it can be definitely estimated that if you manage to secure atleast 32-33k rank then you can definitely grab a seat in EIE department of Manipal campus.

However you can predict your college on the basis of your marks, category and rank from our MET College predictor tool:

https://www.careers360.com/met-college-predictor

Hope these informations will be quite beneficial for you.

Wish you all the best.

Ive got ECE at SRM KTR and EIE at MIT Manipal and Ive already started classes at SRM, should I still go for Manipal?

Abhishek Roy 12th Oct, 2020

I think MIT Manipal has an advantage when it comes to Placements, Academics or Employer Outlook. So if you get proper refunds, you might consider transferring to MIT Manipal EIE. Will be a wise decision and might repay benefits in forms of various opportunities in future. All the best.
