Marine Engineering
Hey,
The pay in petroleum is nice, but honestly, after about five years experience with ANY engineering profession, if you're wanting more money, you're just a greedy slob. Choice has to be made based on your interest. Aerospace engineers CAN work as mechanical engineers, and can work very well. There will always be planes and rockets that need to be designed and built. Obviously mechanical engineers will always be able to find a job somewhere, even if we regress to the dark ages. Petroleum engineers, I guess it really depends on whether we as a species decide to move beyond oil like we need to. Rest it is upto you what interest you more!

Yes aspirant, there is huge difference between the ocean and marine engineering as well., ocean engineering refers to the works upon the ocean developments and the welfare where as when it comes to marine engineering it is more difficult than ocean engineeirng.., marine engineering includes the works on the ship., marine engineers are the workers who take care about the machinery works when they are out in the sea..., Hence there is huge difference between both.
Hello..
You can join Marine Engineering..
Yes, u need to give IMU CET test first than u can go further for applying in marine colleges.like in the event that you go for tolani sea foundation, at that point u have give IMUCET test , then TMISAT , alongside a meeting and afterward a restorative test , the general report chooses whether u r qualified for Tmi Entry or not.
Hope these will be helpfull...
All the best!!
Hello, aspirant,
Both the branches are important at their own place. It depends solely on your choice whether you would ho for marine engineering or mechanical engineering. It can be said that it totally depends on how you want to shape your future.According to the present scenario, for Jon opportunities mechanical is a better branch. It gives you vast opportunities like a job, you can also prepare for UPSC, banking exam, PSU's or rather do M. Tech afterwards. But if you are sure that you are interested in Merchant navy then go for marine engineering only. Its fees are comparatively greater than mechanical engineering. But the salaries are also higher. I would suggest to try in IIT's and nits for better opportunities.
Sorry, their is no marine engineering course for B.TECH in any iits and nits. Marine Engineering is completely different from basic engineering courses . Any college affiliated from Indian Maritime University offers Marine engineering .
