WHICH IS THE BEST ONE PETROLEUM ENGINEERING OR MARINE ENGINEERING OR AEROSPACE ENGINEERING?

snehasinha1718 Student Expert 7th Jul, 2019

Hey,

The pay in petroleum is nice, but honestly, after about five years experience with ANY engineering profession, if you're wanting more money, you're just a greedy slob. Choice has to be made based on your interest.  Aerospace engineers CAN work as mechanical engineers, and can work very well. There will always be planes and rockets that need to be designed and built. Obviously mechanical engineers will always be able to find a job somewhere, even if we regress to the dark ages. Petroleum engineers, I guess it really depends on whether we as a species decide to move beyond oil like we need to.
Rest it is upto you what interest you more!

Which is better to study marine engineering in Andhra university (or) mechanical engineering in sir Cr redddy college, eluru?

Navneetbajpai1999_5625736 Student Expert 11th Aug, 2019

Hello, aspirant,

Both the branches are important at their own place. It depends solely on your choice whether you would ho for marine engineering or mechanical engineering.
It can be said that it totally depends on how you want to shape your future.
According to the present scenario, for Jon opportunities mechanical is a better branch. It gives you vast opportunities like a job, you can also prepare for UPSC, banking exam, PSU's or rather do M. Tech afterwards.
But if you are sure that you are interested in Merchant navy then go for marine engineering only. Its fees are comparatively greater than mechanical engineering.
But the salaries are also higher.
I would suggest to try in IIT's and nits for better opportunities.

If we study marine engineering after 4yrs, will we have chance to study further for higher studies like Mtech?

Siddhant Student Expert 11th Aug, 2019
After your bachelor's in technology in Marine engineering, you  can definitely go for Mtech in Marine engineering.  You have to give an entrance exam called Gate which is valid all over India.  There are also some private state universities entrance exams which you can give and if you have done Marine engineering from IIT then you mave have chance of getting a direct admission if your Cgpa is good . All the best.
