if your really interested in marine engineering then you should go for IMU CET exam instead of JEE.Because JEE is do nothing with marine engineering.

IMU CET-Indian Maritime University Common Entrance Test (IMU CET 2018) is an all India online common entrance tests managed by the Indian Maritime

Both of them are equally acceptable as both hve core subjects of marine engineering  

However Btech degree is always valuable. 

Secondly for job opportunities itsmore important if you do from top colleges like an IIT or NIT or top private college and must have good domain knowledge and excellent crafted

The fees for Marine Engineering varies from colleges to colleges but average fees ranges between 6-8 lakhs. Rest you can check the colleges, and their fee structure individually for more details.

Exam accepted by each college shall vary so kindly share for which college you are asking out. 

Marine Engineering is dealing with operations and maintenance of vessels and circumnavigation assistance to navy, understanding ocean dynamics  and  naval architecture for uses in Commercial operations.

Yes a person who meets up with the eligibility criteria of IMU, Marine but have flat feet can still join it. 

You are acceptable navy but not in Indian army.

First please know the difference between both the programmes, then decide which one is best for you.

GME or Graduate Marine Engineering is a 1-year programme. You become eligible for this programme if you do B.Tech in Mechanical or Naval Architecture. 

Whereas, B.Tech in Marine Engineering will be
