It's good that you have good academic background but your 10th and 12th percentage are not required in any of the IIM institution.
The most important aspect of IIM admission is the CAT exam. A candidate needs to clear the CAT cutoff required by the specific institute to get shortlisted for appearing in various selection rounds. You need to have good scores in CAT exam as most of the IIM institute accept students having scores above 90 percent in CAT exam. So yes, the priority for admission is through CAT only.

For joining HR department you need to be fluent and confident in your speech. Since you are a Communication English graduate , according to me HR will be best for you. In Marketing also communication skill are important. so marketing is also a good option for you. Finance is a bit different.
These are just my opinion keeping in mind your graduation subject, if you're interested in finance, you should go for it, your communication skills will be useful there as well, it will be considered as a plus point only. So look for what interests you and choose that.
