I got 321 rank outside Delhi for IPU CET 106 masters in mass comm n they gave only one college for it (main campus) what r my chances?

vikal_1521213823 Student Expert 25th Jul, 2019

Hello Poorva, you have pretty decent rank in TSPGECET, with that much of rank you are pretty much eligible for most of the college out there. Though you are not eligible for top tier governemnt college. And do keep some college as backup plan. And you have fair chance of getting main campus. Hope this helps!!!

I am pursuing mass communication so should i prepare for cat to opt for mba & if yes then which branch will suit me best?

Sampriti Gupta Student Expert 20th Jul, 2019

MBA is something which everyone can study irrespective of the course you're studying in your graduation.

If you have already studied mass communication then you can check out the media and communication management course offered by MICA Gujrat. It's one of the top MBA colleges in India and accepts CAT scores. But after you qualify CAT you'll have to appear for their own exam also which is MICAT.

All the very best

Can I pursue bachelor in arts with mass communication and English hons

yadvi Student Expert 18th Jul, 2019

Dear candidate,

No , you can either opt for a bachelor's degree in English Hons or in mass communication. There I no course as such that allows you to opt for mass communication as a minor subject along with English as th main subject .

But  you can do diploma in mass communication along with English Hons .

OR

you can to do the two courses simultaneously. You can go in for regular B.A course. There are various institutes like R.K.Films and Media Academy in Delhi which offer weekend classes. You will need to balance your time for both the courses. Most of the cities will be offering similar courses. If you want to enter the field of Mass Communication then certainly go in for Post Graduation from MICA.

Hope the answer is helpful.

m 10th pass n my 12th is ongoing can i apply for Mass comm course???

Mythri 11th Jul, 2019
Hey !
Firstly speaking about the eligibility, in order to pursue any mass comm course diploma programme, you will have to first complete your education up to class 12 from a recognised board of education. You are required to score at least 45% to 50% marks in class 12 in order to be eligible for the undergraduate degree courses. Mostly Admission to most of the top Mass Communication colleges is done on the basis of merit in class 12 board exams.Mass Communication courses from government colleges will have lesser fees than the private colleges. Some institutes are known to offer Diploma and certificate courses to 10th passed students though. The quality and validity of such Diploma courses are questionable sometimes.
Hope this helps
