There are 38 seat for M.A. Mass Communication in BHU for which there is counselling based on the ranks obtained in BHU PET. It is always tough to a admission in BHU when you have a rank more than 300. So there are very rare chances for you to get selected in BHU.

Acccording to las year cut offs you had not able to get a seat in mass communication because your rank was too high. You had not told your category rank that is why I have provided all last year cut offs:
General category- around 580
OBC- around 200
SC- around 70
ST- around 50
BHU general-111
BHU ST- around 18
BHU SC- around 30
BHU OBC- around 70

Yes,you are eligible to get admission with 120 female rank in and 431 general rank.
If the cut-offs goes as per last year you will be getting admission without any problem.
Even if cut off changes you will be having chances of getting admission.don't be much worried

First of all, there's nothing to be ashamed off.There's nothing such like that to be ashamed of. I don't know the reason for discontinuing your B.tech but you're not simply sitting idle doing nothing.
I see that now you're going to do your BA in mass communications.Make sure that you're really interested in it and follow your heart.Do not be discouraged about what others tell you as long as you do what you really wanted to do.

yes ofcourse you will be paid if you decide to work after BJMC.
if you do your graduation from a top college like delhi university, jamia milia islamia, symbiosis then you can expect a starting package of about 5-10 lpa and if you do it from an average college then you may get a package of 2-5 LPA.
but if you are doing bjmc i would suggest you to involve yourself in personality development activities, do internships, learn foreign languages and english proficiency if you want a good job.
