Is it gonna worth to get a Masters Degree from Jamia Millia Islamia in mass communication?

Kishan_283 Student Expert 26th May, 2019
Hello...

Mass Communication of Jamia Millia is among the top in India.

Jamia is any day a better choice for Mass Communication courses. Firstly, it offers a Master's degree, secondly the infrastructure. Jamia course offers a much wider scope and focuses on multiple options. Being a Master's degree, there's emphasis on theory as well as practicals.

Can I get a Masters Degree from IIMC or DU in journalism and mass communication?

Priya Mahajan 18th Apr, 2020

Hi

I think the conventional masters programs are not run by these institutions. You can either go for a diploma or integrated 5 years course.

Another option would be to browse some more good colleges from where you an go for your masters in mass communication. My friend has pursued MA from Mass. co. from Lovely Professional University and has done good by being campus placed by ANI.

So browse some good sites like Lady Sri Ram College, New Delhi, Loyola College, Chennai, Lovely Professional University etc.

Hope my answer was a help!!!!

Suggest books to crack mass communication exam..

Akash Yadav 19th Apr, 2019

Hello,

You see, cracking mass communication or any other entrance exam cannot be done by reading some books, you have to be determined about your goal and look out for information at other sources too. However, you may refer to the following:

1. Success Master: Journalism & Mass Communication Entrance Examinations 2019

2. Manorama Yearbook 2019

These books will help you with current affairs, general knowledge and basic aspects of media. Apart from that, you should read a newspaper thoroughly on daily basis, choose the important news articles of national and world importance and cut it out and paste it in your notebook at least for 30 days or rewrite them in your language.

All the best for your exam!

As every year theb cut-offs for SCMC differs from year to year. Sorry to say that, there is very less/ no chance to get admission into SCMC for Bachelors in mass communication. I will recommend to score between 90-120 to be in a safe side.
