can someone please clarify me whether the cutoff show by different engineering colleges in different sites are the cutoff for merit seat or for management seat?? I am getting confused. are they saying about management seat cutoff or merit seat cutoff??

shreyakhedkar05 20th Aug, 2021

Hello,

The cutoff shown at various sites for engineering colleges is the cutoff list given by the colleges themselves and it truly depends on the merit of the candidate.

Admission to all the colleges is based on the entrance score and rank they receive with that score.

There are only 15% of seats that can be filled through management quota only in private and deemed colleges.

So the cutoff on all the educational information sites is based on merit and not the one for the management seat filling purpose.

Hope this will help, All the best.!!

when is ssn (sri sivasubramanianadar) college management seat entrance exam result 2021?

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 11th Jul, 2021

Hi

Your profile suggests that you are an Engineering aspirant in class 12 so I am  guessing that you are asking about getting admission in BTech.

In SSN college of engineering,

There's no entrance examination even for management quota seats , both government and management quota seats are offered through 12th marks merit only.

You can check the same at its official website

https://www.ssn.edu.in/college-of-engineering/admissions-b-e-b-tech-admissions/

Here's the selection process for Sri Sivasubramaniya Nadar College of Engineering, Kalavakkam  :-

35 % seats are management quota seats here

Management quota seats

  • Admission is on the basis of % marks obtained by you in Maths Physics and Chemistry, the formula used for preparation of merit is given below

Q = M + ((P+C) / 2),

Where

M, P and C are percentage of marks obtained by you in class 12 the board examination in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry respectively.

  • Then you are shortlisted for admission on the basis of merit

Government quota seats ( 65 % seats) :-

For admission in government quota seats, you will have to apply for TNEA counselling in which you are alloted seats based on your marks in 12th , details for TNEA is available at our page for which link is provided below
