Maths in WBCS is actually Arithmatics which you may have studied in IX X. There may be a little bit of Algebra, mensuration etc. So don’t worry , work whole heartedly  and do all sums in each chapter which will increase your confidence.

Thereafter go for other books

In 11& 12 it will be decided if you are taking science , arts or commerce.

But if you are talking about science stream there will two two sub stream 1) MATHS 2) Biology

So it is upto you  which you want to choose.

If talking overall, no one is superior to other one. Both are equivalent. If somebody has interest particularly towards Physics and not in Mathematics then definitely Physics is best for him than  Mathematics and vice versa. Bu if talk about future fields, then a Mathematics has more fields than Physics

Yes you can appear for jee advance if you clear your compart and give improvement in all the subjects and achieve the minimum requirement of jee advance .

see cutoff score changes every year and it depends on certain factors like number of participants, questions difficulty level, seat matrix, students category, choice of streams etc. however since this year written test would not conduct shortlisting of students would also depends on their 10th course marks in science
