Aditi amrendra Student Expert 24th Jan, 2021
Hello,

The basic eligibility criteria for pursuing a B.Tech course is that a candidate should have passed 10+2 examination with PCM from a recognized board with 50% marks. Then you can apply for any entrance exam like JEE mains, WBJEE etc.
Based on your percentile and rank you can get admission.

I hope this helps.

I am a pcmb student and a neet aspirant I have good command in physics and chemistry. Can I clear JEE main only by doing physics and chemistry without doing any math problem??

ARYAN SAGAR 15th Dec, 2020
Dear student,

For getting a good rank in jee mains you must have a very good command on all the three subjects i.e, physics, chemistry and mathematics.

Now, jee mains of of 300 marks, and even if assumed for one sec that you didn't touched any maths question and secured 100 marks in physics and chemistry, securing a total of 200 marks out of 300, then also it will not fetch you teh top colleges.

But still, if you get 200 marks from general category then your rank will be upto the mark. And you can get a middle order nit college.
Even if you secure above 170 marks by the help of these only two subjects, then also you can get a college but not the good one. But getting above 150 marks only by physics and chemistry will be a tough task.

But if you study some mathematics too, then it will give you an edge over securing the maximum marks as per your capability and it will not harm you, instead it act as a booster to your score and rank, if you give physics and chemistry the best as you can.

So, according to me, do not completely neglect completely the maths, just study simple and less time taking chapters like limits, determinant or matrices etc.

which book is best for cbse math 12 chapter wise revision for 2021 exam

Mallika Thaledder 23rd Sep, 2025

The CBSE board follows the NCERT curriculum, so it's best to read the NCERT textbook for 1 2th maths chapter-wise revision, as many questions are directly based on it. You can also refer to the RD Sharma and Arihant's Chapterwise solutions, which provide a wide range of solved examples and practice questions. It can help you with revision.
