And maths may be in 2nd year also.

But Basically when you will join your department in the 2nd year of your engineering then the branch which is not having physics and as a major subject is

IN THE RECENT YEARS MOST OF THE QUESTIONS ASKED BY UPSC IN NDA/NA EXAM ARE NEAR TO THE JEE LEVEL OF QUESTIONS,I HAVE PRESENTLY NOT ENROLLED IN ANY COACHING CENTRES NOR I AM A JEE ASPIRANT ,BUT JUST PREPARING FOR MY BOARDS. CAN ANYBODY SUGGEST SOME METHODS TO CLEAR NDA MATH AND ITS CORRECT STRATEGY

Rama Devi 3rd Dec, 2020

Hello,

Questions from Mathematics are included in Paper I of NDA. Compared to the General Ability Test, this section carries less weight. It plays a crucial role in the selection of candidates, however. As the standard of questions are essentially Class 11 and 12 levels, the Mathematics section of NDA is not a hard nut to crack. Candidates can secure good marks in the exam with revision and practise. Candidates must cover the maximum syllabus, In addressing the key fundamentals,you  must refer to school-level books. according to NDA 2019 Topper. Firstly, start the  preparation with  the important topics and then delegate time to the difficult topics at the same time. And also, Solve mock tests to determine how much time to devote to each question type. In order to get an idea of the type of questions posed in the exam, candidates must also resolve previous year's question papers.

what is disadvantage to take math in 12th???

Shruti Smaranika 1st Dec, 2020

Hello aspirant,

There's no disadvantage to take Mathematics in 12th. In fact, there are lots of opportunities if you take up Mathematics in 12th. You can take up engineering course of your choice or else take up B.SC in Mathematics after the completion of 12th. But yes, if you want to pursue medical, pharmacy or agriculture courses, then there is no requirement to take up Mathematics subject, instead you can take Biology as your prime subject.

Hope, it helps you.

please tell me advantages and disadvantages to give both bio and math in 12th

Shruti Smaranika 1st Dec, 2020

Hello aspirant,

See, there is no disadvantage if you study both Biology and Mathematics in 12th, but full of advantages. This is because if you study both Biology and Mathematics, then you can have a lot of options whether you want to pursue medical or engineering. You can prepare JEE Mains, JEE Advanced, NEET and any other common entrance exams for medical, agriculture, engineering etc. as well. Also, you have options even after completing 12th to study any course without falling into only one zone. So no need to be worried, it's upto you whether you want to take up both the subjects or simply end up taking only one subject.

Hope, it helps you.

I passed my class 12th in 2020 with biology. I will do class 12th with only math this year. Can I sit for jee advanced 2022?

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 7th Jan, 2021
Hi

First of all if you give only maths examination then it won't be considered for admission. To be eligible ,you need to give examination of all the five subjects i. e
*physics
* chemistry
* mathematics
* a language
*any subject other than thr above 4 .

Second thing is, you will be eligible only for jee advanced 2021 , you won't be eligible eligible for jee advanced 2022.

This is because,

One is eligible for JEE advanced examination for a maximum of two consecutive years starting from the year of appearing for 12th board examination for the first time.

Though you will give 12th again, but your year of appearing for the 12th exam for the first time remains the same i. e 2020
So, being passed class 12th in 2020 , one is eligible for JEE advanced examination 2020 and 2021 only .

So, you will not be eligible for JEE advanced 2022 but yes will be eligible for JEE advanced 2021 .

For example,

JEE advanced 2021 eligibility criteria says that you must have appeared for your class 12th board examination in the year 2021 or should have passed in 2020 and should have got least 75% if you belong to General or OBC category or 65% if you belong to Sc or St category and also must have qualified JEE mains 2021

You can check detailed eligibility criteria of JEE advanced by visiting our page the link for the same page is provided below

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-advanced-eligibility-criteria

But yes, you will be eligible for both jee mains 2021 and jee mains 2022 as

One can give JEE Mains entrance examination for a maximum of 3 consecutive years starting from the year of passing 12th board examination.

This is because,

So , with 12th board examination passing year in 2020, one is eligible for JEE mains 2020 , 2021 and will be eligible for JEE mains 2021 and 2022.

Thankyou

what position would a commerce student without math would get in army administration

Shakti Swarupa Bhanja 26th Nov, 2020

Hello Avdhoot!

As you do not have mathematics along with 12th commerce, it may be problematic for you to attend the Maths section in NDA (300 marks). However, you can take coaching classes for the maths section and also work hard for other subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Hisory , Geography , Current Affairs , General Knowledge and Political science. Sometimes, additional requirements for prospective air force and naval cadets include coursework in physics and math. So, you would not get naval and air force without maths through NDA, but can opt for Army wing .

If you do not qualify NDA, there is another way too. After your graduation, you can sit for UPSC CDS exam, AFCAT or SSB. After clearing CDS exam, you can opt for OTA(Officer Training Programme) of Indian Army.

Hope you are clear.
