Hii,
Engineering is a section of technology and science that focuses on the design of engines, machines, structures and electrical systems. Engineering is deeply rooted in mathematics principles.
so, for that you need to study physics and Maths in the first year which is common subject for every branch students .
And maths may be in 2nd year also.
But Basically when you will join your department in the 2nd year of your engineering then the branch which is not having physics and as a major subject is
CSE Computer Science Engineering
IT Information Technology
In these 2 branches you learn about computer science and programming subjects.
for your knowledge below is the list of subjects which CSE students learn in engineering
So, basically physics does not plays that important roles in these 2 branches.
Hope this will help you,
All the very best!!

Hello,
Questions from Mathematics are included in Paper I of NDA. Compared to the General Ability Test, this section carries less weight. It plays a crucial role in the selection of candidates, however. As the standard of questions are essentially Class 11 and 12 levels, the Mathematics section of NDA is not a hard nut to crack. Candidates can secure good marks in the exam with revision and practise. Candidates must cover the maximum syllabus, In addressing the key fundamentals, you must refer to school-level books. according to NDA 2019 Topper. Firstly, start the preparation with the important topics and then delegate time to the difficult topics at the same time. And also, Solve mock tests to determine how much time to devote to each question type. In order to get an idea of the type of questions posed in the exam, candidates must also resolve previous year's question papers.
Hello there. Hope you are doing good. You have not mentioned the name of college and the course name. I suggest you to provide necessary details that are required to answer the query. The eligibility criteria varies from course to course. So, specific details would help me to answer the query.
I hope you found this answer helpful. Good luck for your future.
Hello aspirant,
There's no disadvantage to take Mathematics in 12th. In fact, there are lots of opportunities if you take up Mathematics in 12th. You can take up engineering course of your choice or else take up B.SC in Mathematics after the completion of 12th. But yes, if you want to pursue medical, pharmacy or agriculture courses, then there is no requirement to take up Mathematics subject, instead you can take Biology as your prime subject.
Hope, it helps you.
See, there is no disadvantage if you study both Biology and Mathematics in 12th, but full of advantages. This is because if you study both Biology and Mathematics, then you can have a lot of options whether you want to pursue medical or engineering. You can prepare JEE Mains, JEE Advanced, NEET and any other common entrance exams for medical, agriculture, engineering etc. as well. Also, you have options even after completing 12th to study any course without falling into only one zone. So no need to be worried, it's upto you whether you want to take up both the subjects or simply end up taking only one subject.
Hi Dear,
You can use following books for studying mathematics in computer science engineering:
Hope this helps.. Good Luck
Hello Avdhoot!
As you do not have mathematics along with 12th commerce, it may be problematic for you to attend the Maths section in NDA (300 marks). However, you can take coaching classes for the maths section and also work hard for other subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Hisory , Geography , Current Affairs , General Knowledge and Political science. Sometimes, additional requirements for prospective air force and naval cadets include coursework in physics and math. So, you would not get naval and air force without maths through NDA, but can opt for Army wing .
If you do not qualify NDA, there is another way too. After your graduation, you can sit for UPSC CDS exam, AFCAT or SSB. After clearing CDS exam, you can opt for OTA(Officer Training Programme) of Indian Army.
Hope you are clear.
