Sir, I have scored 165 marks in cuet exam, can I get BSc mathematics honours in bhu ?

kumardurgesh1802 10th Aug, 2024

Hello there,

With a score of 165 in the CUET exam, getting admission to the B.Sc. Mathematics Honours program at BHU (Banaras Hindu University) might be challenging, as the cutoff scores can vary significantly each year based on the number of applicants and their performance.

To assess your chances:

  1. Check Cutoff Marks : Review the previous year's cutoff marks for the B.Sc. Mathematics Honours program at BHU. This will give you an idea of whether your score might be close to or below the cutoff.

  2. Consult BHU Admissions : Contact the BHU admissions office or check their official website for the most accurate and updated cutoff information and eligibility criteria.

  3. Explore Other Options : Consider applying to other universities or colleges where the cutoff scores might be within your range.

This will provide a clearer understanding of your admission prospects.

I would recommend you to use CUET college predictor tool by Careers360 to get the list of possible colleges you can get with your score.

Ishita 4th Aug, 2024

Hello Aspirant

Seeing as you took 6-7 subjects in your 12th grade, I'm pretty sure that not all of them are mentioned in your 12th mark sheet. And because they were not mentioned in the mark sheet, that is why you were able to take admission to a BA program. It is totally okay if you failed your math exam as it has nothing to do with your current field of study, i.e. Arts/Humanities. If you were doing a Bachelor's from a science background, this might have posed a problem, but not for you.

Some companies, IT firms may ask you questions about it, and be a bit skeptical, but you can answer them honestly. But don't stress about it.

Hy,

If you have failed in Mathematics but were admitted to a B.A. program based on your 12th-grade marks from the Arts stream, you typically have a couple of options:

  1. Check College Policies : Different colleges have varying policies regarding admission qualifications. Since you enrolled based on your Arts marks, failing in Mathematics may not impact your current enrollment in the B.A. program. However, it's essential to confirm this with your college administration to understand how your specific situation is viewed.

  2. Supplementary Exams : Many educational boards offer supplementary or improvement exams for students who have failed subjects. If this option is available to you, consider taking the supplementary exam to pass Mathematics. Successfully clearing this subject can help avoid any future complications regarding your academic record.

  3. Focus on Your Current Studies : As you're already in the 5th semester, your focus should primarily be on completing your current courses and maintaining or improving your overall GPA. Your performance in other subjects will be crucial for your graduation.

  4. Consult Academic Advisors : Speak with an academic advisor or counselor at your institution. They can provide tailored advice based on your situation, including how to handle the failed subject and any implications it might have on your future studies or career plans.

  5. Future Studies and Career : If you plan to pursue further studies or a career that requires Mathematics, it's advisable to retake the subject and pass it to fulfill any prerequisites.

You can also refer to your college handbook or the official website for specific information regarding academic policies and support for students who have faced similar challenges.

How many seats are there in category wise in Nerist in nee 3 in mathematics department

Hi there,

Hope you are doing fine.

The specific number of seats available in each category for the Mathematics department at NERIST (North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology) through the NEE-3 (NERIST Entrance Examination)  may vary each year based on several factors including the changes in the policy and demand, the number of seats available and the number of applicants.

To get accurate and detailed information about seat distribution by category (such as General, OBC, SC, ST, and others) it is best to refer to the official NERIST admission brochure for the current academic year or visit their official website.

You can also contact the NERIST admissions office directly for the most recent and precise details regarding seat allocation. This will ensure that you receive the most reliable information relevant to the specific year and category you are interested in.

Hope this resolves your query.

People believe that CMI/15! kind of exams are exceptionally hard and it's more than Impossible to cracic unless you're not a INMO/IMO/1O1 winner.

Well that's not real!!!!!!!!ly true. As for me I was quite ordinary student (no Olympiad medalisti

So I'd say you can do it too

All you need is a good deep understanding of Maths, and focus mainly on Calculus, Number Theory, Combinatorics, Geometry(not that essential over past few years).

In fact to me the CMI oxam was relatively easier than IT in the sense that IIT MCQ require a special tact which is acquired by special practice over years, it's not about you know less Maths than a fellow Jan. But CMI/IS! will just check if you can write a proof property

No hurry. No Complications. You'll get more than enough time to write the exam and appreciate the questions les a refoc mood

I want to do online degree from IIT in less fees in data science field ... can anyone suggest me.. I am from mathematics background

Radhika Goyal 18th Aug, 2024

Hy,

For pursuing an online degree in Data Science from an IIT (Indian Institute of Technology) with a focus on affordability, here are some options and suggestions to consider:

1. Online Degree Programs Offered by IITs:

IIT Madras:

  • Program: Master’s Degree in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence
  • Details: IIT Madras offers an online Master’s program in Data Science and AI through the NPTEL platform and Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan . This program is designed for working professionals and offers flexibility in terms of study.
  • Fees: Generally affordable compared to traditional on-campus programs. Exact fees should be checked on the IIT Madras website or through their admission office.

IIT Kharagpur:

  • Program: Post Graduate Diploma in Data Science and Business Analytics
  • Details: This diploma is available through the IIT Kharagpur's School of Data Science and Analytics (SDSA) and is offered in collaboration with various platforms. It is intended for professionals looking to advance their skills in data science.
  • Fees: More affordable compared to traditional degrees. For specific fee details, visit the IIT Kharagpur website or contact their admissions office.

2. Alternative Options:

If the above IIT programs do not fit your needs or budget, consider the following options:

1. Online Certification Programs:

  • IIT Bombay: Offers online certification courses in Data Science and related fields through platforms like NPTEL and SWAYAM .
  • IIT Hyderabad: Provides online courses in Data Science that can be part of a larger certificate or diploma program.

For an affordable online degree in Data Science from an IIT, the Master’s Degree in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence from IIT Madras and the Post Graduate Diploma from IIT Kharagpur are strong options to consider. They offer good value in terms of cost and education quality. Additionally, exploring online certifications from other platforms can provide flexibility and specialized knowledge at a lower cost.
