the ratio of the speed of P and Q is 4:5 . P takes 20 minutes more than Q to reach the destination. if P had doubled his speed , he would have covered the distance in how many minutes?

Hello aspirant,

Let, Q takes x min to complete the distance.

P takes (20+x)min to complete the distance.

As for both the distance is same,

4*(20+x)=5x

x=80

q takes 80min to complete.

If p doubles his speed then the speed ratio becomes 8:5

If p takes y min with this

Both are literally on equal caliber in terms of placement.But if there a choice then i would suggest you to go for IIT kharagpur considering it has a little more reputation and it gives scholarship of some amount to students regardless of financial status.

Please mention the course you're referring to, since each course has a different syllabus of the entrance test. In engineering courses the syllabus doesn't include mathematics. However, for courses like B.Sc Mathematics hons, mathematics will be there in the test.
