Hello,

As you have mentioned that your aggregate percentage in intermediate was 88.5%.

For getting in admission in DU you need to score about 92%(not including SC/ST).

For any BSc course, you must add maths score. Unlike other courses BSc demands PCM aggregate.

Hi Harsh,

Hello Aspirant!
As you have secured only 76% this time hence you have to again give the cbse improvement exam in 2020 only in that 1 subject in which you want improvement hence you will be eligible to give only the theory exam in that improvement part.

applied mathematics and engineering physics are good branches if you have interest in maths or physics respectively and want to go for higher studies.

economics is a good branch and is growing in India.

Civil branch has less placement but if you want to choose college over branch

Don't be tensed too much. Your improvement marksheet will not impact your JOB Interview till you are good at your college studies. Yes for sure the interviewer might ask about that why you have to appear for improvement paper for which you can tell him a proper reason

Yes you should have Mathematics as compulsory subject for being eligible in NEST.

Below are the academic norms for NEST exam:

Candidates must have Mathematics as the mandatory subject on 10+2 exam.



A science stream student will be given preference.



Other mandatory subjects are: physics, chemistry, biology

For OBC category, the cut off percentage for BSc Mathematics is around 83.50%. This is the data from last year and it's not a concrete data for this year. Cut off changes every year depending upon a number of factors. But it's around 83-85% for OBC. Hope this helps. Good
