Im a humanities student and i want to do economics honours but i dont have maths as my subject...as most of the colleges require maths with economics for economics honours ...can i study maths after doing my 12th examination by dropping one year and will it be added and considered in the result?

Hello,

No, it is not possible for you to take admission in Economics honours like that. You need to have mathematics+economics in 10+2 to be eligible for taking admission in this course.

Eligibility: Candidates must have completed 10+2 education with at least 50% marks aggregate in 5 subjects out of which 4 subjects Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics & English are mandatory subjects.

Admission in B.Sc. Chemistry honours in DU is offered on the basis of PCM/PCB percentage.

First and second cut off lists goes as high as 97%+ for top colleges of DU. However there is some relaxation for reserved catagories.

According to my best of knowledge for Bcom hons you should have studied mathematics in your class 12 and also should have scored 50% or more in mathematics to get admission in bcom hons .
