The eligibility criteria for CAT is that a candidate must have passed bachelor's degree with minimum 50% and for SC/ST it is 45% from a recognized board. So if you fulfill the above mentioned eligibility criteria you can appear for CAT. It does not matter if you have failed

Its entirely dependent on the college. Some college may not avail you the facility to have any other subject other than Mathematics.

Having Mathematics will benefit you in future in the subjects like genetics where there is a great need of statistics and stuff. So mathematics is a good choice

Firstly, you have to withdraw your admission from the college.

Secondly, when he meets the eligibility criteria or the cut off for Bcom Hons, you have to apply for the same college again
