Hope you are doing well! The subjects which is necessary to be cleared with 50 % marks in order to be eligible for NEET are Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English. Mathematics marks are used to determine eligibility for JEE exam.

I think you are speaking about ST.Xavier's college Kolkata.So to get admission in ST.Xavier's Maths is a compulsory subject.You must have Maths in your 10+2.While shortlisting candidates,the college asks for the best of 4 obtained by the applicant in 12th board,out of which Maths and English are compulsory.
