Hey!

The subject taken in class 10+2 has nothing to do with the Civil Services Examination. Your subjects in 12th does not have any effect on Civil Services exam. Even subject in bachelor's degree has nothing to do with Civil Services exam.

No, there is as such no minimum criteria for scoring in any particular subject in JEE main Examination. Your overall percentile should be above the desired cutoff to appear for JEE advanced examination or for getting admission into any institution.

As per CBSE Examination rules, a student is declared pass if he passes in English and 4 other subjects. So, since you have failed in 1 main subject and also in Economics than you will be declared failed and have to appear for compartment exam.
