HI Meghana! If you have applied for XAT 2019, you can apply for the institute. There is no hard and fast rule to apply before or after the exam as since you would provide your XAT application ID/number, your score and percentile would be fetched by the institute through that.

The syllabus for most of the MBA exams is similar. Except for the Symbiosis Business School's management entrance, IIFT, and TISS-NET as you have even study for GK section separately. Almost all national level Tier 1 colleges consider 12th marks during application rating for shortlisting a candidate for an MBA programme.

But there are many good state level colleges that don't consider 12th scores and value the entrance examination marks for the selection of the candidate.
