Im an NTSE scholar and have just finished my NEET exam. Will I be preferred over others during the MBBS admission process due to my achievement?

thakurvishesh1 22nd Jul, 2022

If you are talking about the government medical colleges, then unfortunately not. See according to government medical colleges, the sole criteria of you getting admission over there is your score and rank in National Eligibility cum Entrance Test or NEET. It does not matter even an iota that what your other achievements are.

So, in all, you'll not be preferred over others due to your NTSE tag. Hope I have answered your question. All the best!

And now you will have to wait till next year i.e. 2023.

Shriwam Shrivastav 12th Jun, 2022
Hi Aspirant,

Greetings

NEET is an entrance exam for admission in courses like MBBS BDS BAMS etc

The eligibility criteria for NEET entrance exam is 10+2 or appearing from a well recognised board in Physics Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology

The minimum percentage requirement to become applicable for NEET entrance exam is as followed:

UR/EWS - 50%
OBC/SC/ST- 40%
UR(PH) - 45%

Since you got 54% marks in PCB you are applicable for the NEET exam.

The marks of the English subject is not a criteria on which the NEET applicability is based. It is only based on the marks of the PCB.

You are not going to face any problem due to your ENGLISH subject marks. Hope this information will help you
