The university accepts National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) scores for admission to M.B.B.S. and B.D.S. programmes. After getting the NEET scores, eligible candidates need to register and participate in UP NEET counselling conducted by the Directorate of Medical Education and Training (DMET), Lucknow.
Students who are willing to take admission to B.Tech courses and have not appeared for either PET or JEE Main can appear in the entrance test conducted by the university.
NERIST releases the cutoff every year for admission to the B.Tech courses. The cutoff is released category-wise and it is different for different categories. NERIST Nirjuli cutoff is released for SC, ST, OBC and General category candidates. Students should meet the cutoff to proceed with the further rounds of admissions.
