My neet score 294 in 2025 from sc category can I get mbbs in government in state qouta and BAMS in state qouta up

Kishan Bhakat 15th May, 2025

hi,

With a NEET 2025 score of 294 and SC category , getting an MBBS seat in a government college under state quota is difficult , as cutoffs are usually higher.

However, you have a good chance for BAMS in government or semi-government colleges , depending on your state.

For better prediction, use this NEET College Predictor by Careers360 .

How any one can crack MD ? What is the process behind it? Process for NEET and MBBS

Rajeswari 10th Jun, 2025

Hi Umang Mishra,

MBBS and NEET are a different ball game altogether. You making it into MBBS itself makes you a topper. From what I can understand, “below average” is defined by marks you score during the UG exams which in turn is determined by many factors like the pattern of paper, your internals etc. Unfortunately, all this has no role in deciding your NEET score or how good a doctor you become. According to me, what matters most is your basic concepts and your grip over each subject, especially the preclinicals.

I haven't read any of the standard text books “ cover to cover" either. But I did read them for all imp topics and supplemented with videos. I've watched almost all of Dr Najeeb videos, Kaplan, Pathoma, random YouTube videos.

Neet is all about playing with your weakness and strengths and making a gameplan accordingly. Even this rank is not gonna determine how good a doc you become but only gives you a foundation and makes your journey to that point much easier.

For MD, you just need dedication and hard work with a bit smart work.

First you must be strong in basics like anatomy , physio and bio-chem. Along with text books u have to read entrance books. Work out the MCQ's in the book.

On weekends you can attend coaching classes conducted by private institutes which'll help you understand difficult concepts as well as an outlook about entrance exams. It'll be a stimulus to study.

Then u have to give online exams once you complete a subject. It is to judge yourself.

Then in addition if you have a good company i.e study partner , it'll make things more easier.

I hope this helps..

Can I get MBBS government medical college even via state quota if not AIQ? Im scoring around 400 Marks NEET 2025 SC Category, Chhattisgarh state.

Devanshi Goyal 9th Jun, 2025

HELLO,

Yes you can get a seat in MBBS in Government colleges in Chhattisgarh through state quota (85%) even if you don't qualify All India Quota .

As an SC category Candidate with 400 marks your chances under State Quota depends on specific cutoff for Chhattisgarh and the number of candidates applying for state quota in your category .

AIQ cutoffs tend to be higher and state quota cuttoffs tends to be lower for reserved categories like SC . So your chances will be better in securing a seat if you meet state specific requirements.

To Increase you chances:-

Better to check previous year cutoffs for NEET for SC category in Chhattisgarh to get an idea that how much score is needed for securing a seat under state - quota.

Check the eligibilty criteria for State quota seats as it vary from AIQ .

Overall, your chances of getting a higher institution in your rank might be challenging but you can get a government medical college for MBBS in Chhattisgarh under state quota seats for Sc category .

Devanshi Goyal 12th Jun, 2025

HELLO,

Sorry but no, with 300 marks in NEET general category is not enough to securer admission in  KIRAN MEDICAL COLLLEGE , Surat in MBBS program .

These marks are even below the average and not even enough to secure admissions in private medical colleges

Private colleges including Kiran medical college have higher cutoffs and 300 is not sufficient to get admission.
