Hello student
You can get the detailed information about this super common query among aspirants on this page:- https://news.careers360.com/neet-2020-number-of-registrations-increased-1594-lakhs-candidates-registered-for-medical-entrance-exam
But the main answer to this question is that due to covid and floods and some other reasons only 90% of the candidates were able to appear for the neet 2020 exam which is still a higher number as compared to only 75% of the candiadtes who appeared in the jee exam of september shift.
And Second part of the question is that (Yes) NEET is slightly easier than as compared to aipmt in terms of difficulty only but the competion is increasing day by day due to more no. of students started applying and increasing cutoffs but the paper is shifting more towards NCERT in biology and chemistry and towards Mordern physics in physics which is making it easy but earlier focus was more on mechancics which has starting loosing grades nowadays.
If you require any more information feel free.
Thank you

Hey,
Since you did not mention your category, I am assuming you are of general category. Last year the cut off for medical seat under state quota of Maharashtra was a rank of 97845. So based on this, it is difficult for you to get a medical college through state quota counselling of Maharashtra. To know more about Maharashtra cut off, check here https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-cutoff-maharashtra
To get a list of colleges in which you can get a MBBS/BDS seat, you can use NEET College Predictor https://medicine.careers360.com/neet-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer
Hello aspirant,
Your score in NEET UG 2020 is pretty low if you are considering admission to government MBBS or BDS colleges through the All India State quota seats. However with your domicile of Maharashtra, you can get into the deemed private MBBS and BDS colleges through the management quota. Here is a list of a few of them:

If you do not hold the domicile of Delhi but want to participate in the Counselling for Delhi Medical Colleges and take admission in Delhi Medical Colleges, you have to register for All India Counselling and also IPU Counselling. You will not be eligible for DU Counselling. This is because you do not have Delhi State of Eligibility. State Counselling is only for those Candidates who hold the Domicile of that particular State.
Early this month, NMC did take over MCC according to the new structuring of policies. Regarding NEXT replacing NEET UG and FMGE, only time can tell. There has been no official information regarding this and there has been no hint of such moves. FMGE is for Candidates who have studied abroad to practise in India. And NEXT is the admission mode for MD/MS Courses. And so it is unlikely that NEXT will take over these.
Hello, Yes after mbbs from b.p. koirala institute of health sciences, dharan you need to give mci screening test also called as fmge exam. However it is being said by the current closure of mci and establishment of nmc that from 2022 all foreign medical graduate and indian medical graduayes will have to appear for a same exam called as NEXT exam. No further information is being provided yet , you can stay in touch with careers360 website for further notifications and updates of the same.
