Hello Hemraj. You mentioned you have secured AIR 23000 in NEET MDS 2021. Based on your performance this year, unfortunately, you are not eligible to participate in counselling sessions let alone getting admission at any colleges for pursuing MDS.
The qualifying percentile for the general category for NEET MDS 2021 is 50th percentile with a score of 259 and for SC, ST and OBC category it is 40th percentile with 227 marks. while the same prescribed for PwD category is a score of 243 marks with 45th percentile for admission.
In my opinion, if you are from General category you were required to score 766.1 marks to not only clear the exam but also to get chance to choose a college for pursuing your MDS.

Hello
It's very difficult to predict the exact cut-off. It varies from year to year, state to state. Cut-off depends upon the lot of factors such as the exam pattern, the number of students appeared, the number of students qualified, the exam difficulty level , whether you belong to any category or not.
Here you have not mentioned the catagory you belong to, so considering you as a general candidate you need to score atleast 50th percentile, which is 250 out of 960, for sc/st/obc candidate you need to score 215, which is 40th percentile, for general PH ,one should score around 232 which is 45th percentile. These are the basic minimum criteria to qualify neet mds.
Cut-off varies from state to state. There are 50% all india quota seats and 50% state quota seats. Considering you a general candidate,t get good government seat you need to rank within first 500.
You can check the link mentioned below to get an idea about cutoff and rank college https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-mds-cut-off
hope this helps.
Hello,
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) puts hold on NEET MDS 2021 counselling, as the authority wants to seek clarification from the Supreme Court on EWS quota. The NEET MDS counselling will now resume only after clarification and approval from the Supreme Court on this matter. There is no information regarding the third round yet from the officials. Keep an eye on the official website for the latest information. NEET MDS counselling 2021 is conducted for admission to 50% All India Quota (AIQ).
Hi. It is difficult to juggle work and tedious hours of MDS as you have to put in a lot of research and hard work into MDS specifically. Even if you want to work in a clinic, you have to be well rested and in the best state of mind in order to provide the most acceptable care to your patient. Both fields are very demanding so it is better for you to choose one. You can always work in a clinic and take coaching too.
There are a number of specialization for MDS .
Every branch has its own set of advantages and disadvantages. Every branch is unique in its own way. Although, in the above mentioned list , I have mentioned top specialities. I believe as you reach your last year of BDS and also your internship period is the best time to figure out which branch excites you the most giving you the liberty of choosing the speciality happily and guilt free. I wish you good luck.
