Since cutoffs by VIT are not declared there are some approximations based on previous year admissions. These are purely approximations, With a rank of 1540 you may be able to get any stream in VIT Vellore. Since most of their cutoffs are below 10,000.

You have a nice rank and  yes you can get an admission for sure but in the career path there is no mechatronics enlisted.

you should check for it.

you have to satisfy the eligibilty criteria too.

• minimum 50% marks in Maths
  
• minimum 60% marks in HSE and SSE.

They just expect you to get an aggregate of 60% in your board exams irrespective of whether you are in cbse or state board.so if you have got above 60% you are good to go!
