Definately you can do mining engineering after Mechanical engineering but you need to qualify GATE(Graduate aptitude test in engineering) in Mining engineering.

Dear Keshwanand, Yes you can persue M.tech in Marine Engineering From "MERI" Kolkata even after you persued your B.tech from Mechanical Engineering.
