If you want to do Mtech. From reputated college like nit IIT or some good private colleges than you have to score in gate.
According to ranking you will get college.
Like jee mains.
And apart from it you can do Mtech. From near by college which give you admission

Can I apply for mtech in applied geology in Sagar University? My UG subjects are physics ,maths and geology these all are my main subjects.

Yes you are eligible if you have Geology and PCM subjects in UG degree and have minimum 50%aggregate marks in Be/Btech of all semester from recognised University.

If it is ok then there is no problem

70% preference for gate aspirants and 30% for merit list in the qualifying examination

Kunal inorder to apply for the M.Tech in JNU you need to write the JNU CEE M.Tech which will be conducted tentatively in between 27 - 30 for the admission in various PG programs in JNU. The results will be announced tentatively in the third week of February

Generally top collegr sin India Will need candidates to appesr for Entrance exam for Mtech courses. 

GATE is widely accepted exam for Mtech colleges accepted across all top University in India. 

Other state specific exams like PGCET , JNUCEE, etc are alsoapplicable.

Yes if you get admission in Btech in Mechanical engineering you can surely take admission into  Automobiles Engineering in Mtech with appearing relevant GaTe paper.

You can also go for MAsters jn Automobiles engineering from Germnay whuch is much recommended andbest Lucrative salary exponential option with IELTS score as minimum
