There are a number of great colleges in Bangalore but for M.Tech in VLSI and embedded systems I would prefer Ramaiah Institute of Technology (MSRIT) Bangalore. Its the best for this course. It is even accredited grade 'A' by NAAC.

Here you can find the best staff with great experience and teaching skills. They can provide you good amount of knowledge with hands-on experience. Not only they can help in academics but also in projects.

Hi ! Yes you are eligible for marine engineering and harbour engineering in m.tech . So don't worry about it. Sometimes a student from mechanical can also go for it. So here competition is bit higher and at utmost you need to have a good rank. So hope you understand and best of luck to you.
