PSU's in India consider GATE marks in addition to your CGPA in your Btech, so you should have enough CGPA to be eligible for a PSU. Secondly, after qualifying gate, you have to give the interview, for which you will called if you have sufficient marks in GATE. So in order to answer your qiestion completely in one sentence, yes you are eligible for PSU's thorugh GATE exam with your current Btech degree.

Chances of getting a good college in support spot round of counselling cannot be determined by your rank. Basically you can only get a good college in spot counselling if there are few vacant seats left. I would suggest you to freeze a seat in 3rd round of counselling. You may get CSE in NIEC or you may not

Placement senario of NIEC (IP UNIVERSITY)

Packages for mechanical automation engineering are pretty below average as compared to other branches in NIEC. Mainly Infosys is the most active company in our college. They pick students from almost every branch. Average package is 3-4 LPA. There is a placement cell in the college and it is helpful for every branch.

First of all Congratulating you on your nice performance that you deserve both of the nice college and I would like to tell you that based on Two choices if you were to take my opinion then I would suggest you to take admission in the northern engineering college with mechanical engineering but if you are interested in automation engineering then even second shift is not bad.

• Create a study strategy. Study hard and smart. There are some books that you may refer to. Diploma Engineering Polytechnic :Entrance Examination by Dr. M S Ansari and Success Package Delhi Polytechnic Common Entrance Test Paperback by Arihant Experts.

• Know the syllabus and start by brushing off on your weaknesses so that you don'thave them nagging at the back of your mind.

• Practice sample papers so as to know the pattern of the papers and also to not run out of time during the actual exam.

• If you are refer to multiple books, start jotting down the extra points so that during your final revision you have one main book and notes from the all other books. This will make the revision easier and also less time consuming.
