Mechanical Engineer
Hey Aspirant!
For getting into ISRO, you have to clear the examination conducted by ICRB(ISRO centralized recruitment board) for the post of scientist/engineer ‘SC'(MECHANICAL).
From past 2 years, ICRB is conducting exam twice in a year, one is during April and second in December. Please check website'ISRO Careers’ for further information. The notifications for the exam generally get out in the month of January/February for the exam in the month of April and in September/October for exam in December.
Phase 1: Written examination consists of 80 questions for 240 marks, each question carry 3 marks and 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer. It's a 2 hour exam. Those students qualify this phase will be called for interview. Generally number of Candidates called for interview depends on number of vacancies. For every vacancy, they call almost 8 candidates. (Ex: 40 vacancies, then they will call around 320 candidates for interview).
Phase 2: Personal interview is of around 20–30 minutes. They generally ask you about your favorite subjects (at least 4).The interview is fully technical and illustrative. You are asked to explain things on board. (With a black marker and white board). Questions are not too difficult to answer, if you have prepared well, you can answer 60–70 % questions.

M-tech Mechanical are basically from 3 group forms
1.Design
2.Thermal
3.Production
Design students will get more income compare to the thermal and production back ground.on average M-tech mechanical get 4 to 8 LPA Minimum package 3 LPA and maximum 12-15 LPA.
Companies like Hero,tata motors,Mahindra.Mat lab,Fluidyn,Ford,Shell etc..,

Hi, In case you have to clear the JEE Advance first, and if you're asking that if can you get into IIT on having 1000 ST Category rank in JEE Advance than I would like to say a big yes. You can get into following IIT institutions(mentioned below) if you'll clear JEE Advance with 1000 ST category rank.
IIT's you can get into on 1000 ST rank;
Etc.

There are so many reasons behind the joblessness of mechanical engineers (include other engineers too) in India:
There are still other minor things which are the reason of joblessness of engineers. But there are no less opportunities for skilled and talented engineers. If you have the skills, interview in different multinational companies and prove yourself better than others.
