Am a 2015 passed out mechanical engineer and thinking of joining cdac.Is it okay to join now ? Also which course should I prefer ?

U. Janani 30th Oct, 2020

Hello Akshay!

In CDAC courses, every module focuses on software. One must have a sound knowledge in programming languages such as Java, C, SQL, Data Structures, etc,. Graduates of CSC/IT branch will mostly opt for it.

Since you are a Mechanical graduate, if you are well versed in programming languages then you can definitely go ahead with CDAC. Or else you can also study programming and give it a shot!

Just remember that you have to crack CCAT! DAC course might be suitable, kindly check out. Learn C, C++, Data Structures, Operating Systems, HTML, CSS and Javascript.

Hope you get placed!

as a mechanical engineer which among SAP MM or data science should I choose to have Better salary and better future ?

Prashant Chaudhary 19th Sep, 2020

Hi,

More than better prospects in future, you should  look into your interest. As these both fields are demanding now-a-days. Since, you are a mechanical engineer, SAP should be a natural choice as it is more related to your field and deals with supply chain management and related things. However data science is one of the most sought after field currently. If you have interest in coding as well as mathematics, you can also choose data science.

Thank you

Is Mechanical Engineer a good option in India and othe than it want are the good options of engineering in India.

Sonali Sahu Student Expert 27th Sep, 2020
Hello,
Doing mechanical engineering will be best from IIT because you will get best learning skills and you will get opportunity to show case your skills. You will get job from your branch in government organisation or private MNCs.

After IIT, NIT and IIT will be best option. Why these college? Because you will get recognition plus domain based work.
If you join other college including university or government college then you have to make struggle to reach to that point. Have to work on projects , demos and participate in hackathon.
Else you will join any service company and learn technical again.
Scope is there for all branch but the right way to get a job which is related to your branch is difficult.
Hope it helps!
