Will you please elaborate me is it your jee rank or NPAT Under graduate entrance exam rank of nmims if jee mains than you can apply via jossa councelling 

In Mechanical no. of subjects may vary University to university as per their syllabus  but you can expect 8 to 12 subjects per sesemest. At some places last semester is declared only for projects but may have some theory papers. 

As far as mechanical engineering is concerned, Asansol engineering college won't provide you enough placement for this branch. You will rarely get a job with this stream in AEC. I don't know about Academy of Technology though. Don't opt Asansol engineering college if you are taking mechanical engineering.
