I would suggest you two options either try to get good Govt state college or get a job along with that keep preparing for Gate 2018.

So decide well.

You can wait for the result to know your exact rank but the admission in M.Tech and recruitment in PSUs will be based on out of 100 score and as per your score chances are less to get seat in IITs but if you want you can try for lower

Hi, Mechanical is a good course in BIT Sindri. You will have to score  within 800 rank approx to get into this college.

Around 8000 ranks is must for mechanical and CS branches, for others you can score near 15000 to get other Specialization offered at KIIT.
