your rank will be around 20450 - 22988 as per our rank predictor at https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-rank-predictor
It is difficult to make prediction but when we go through previous year trend then
You hold a low chance for chemical engineering in NIT Allahabad even under home state for mechanical engineering
For example,
In 6th round of josaa counselling 2020, under home state quota , closing rank for gender neutral for general category in NIT Allahabad was 17143 rank for mechanical engineering
But yes,
In NIT Allahabad with your rank under home state you have chances in branches like
Production and Industrial Engineering (4 Years, Bachelor of Technology:-29224
Bio Technology (4 Years, Bachelor of Technology
You can check the same at
https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx
This above prediction is on the past year data basis but cut closing rank for colleges changes every year depending upon factors like number of candidates that write jee main examination, difficulty level of the question paper for different shifts of jee main etc so

Hi aspirant,
It is quite subjective question and my opinion will not matter if it not matches with your interest. CSE and ME are entirely different with CSE comprises scientific and engineering aspects of computing and designing automated machine systems and intelligent bots while in mechanical engineering will teach you to design, analyze, manufacture, and maintain mechanical systems. Now if doesn't matters and college is the only aspect you should go with Vit, AP considering both are not the main campus of their respective franchises. Vellore institute of technology has a higher ranking, better faculties and reputation in the educational world. To know more about VIT AP visit https://www.careers360.com/university/vit-ap-university-amaravati/amp
You can know more about SRM Institute of sciences and technology, Vadapalani at
