I got 98.001 percentile jee mains july attempt is there chances of getting mechanical engineering mnnit allahbad using home state qouta.

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 7th Aug, 2021

Hi

With  98.001percentile

It is difficult to make prediction but when we go through previous year trend then

You hold a   low chance for chemical engineering in NIT Allahabad even under home state  for mechanical engineering

For example,

In 6th round of josaa counselling 2020, under   home state quota ,   closing  rank for gender neutral for general category in NIT Allahabad was 17143  rank  for mechanical engineering

But yes,

In NIT Allahabad with your rank under   home state you have chances in branches like

  • Production and Industrial Engineering (4 Years, Bachelor of Technology:-29224

  • Bio Technology (4 Years, Bachelor of Technology

You can check the same at

https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx

This above prediction is on the past year data basis but  cut closing rank for colleges changes every year depending upon factors like number of candidates that write jee main examination, difficulty level of the question paper for different shifts of jee main etc so

To have a personalised report on your chances of getting a college you can go through our college predictor, it will give you complete list of colleges which you can get on the basis of the category you belong to,  your home state, your gender etc, the link for  jee main college predictor is provided below

My jee main score is 95.75 ,oc male,can i get a mechanical course at Nit trichy

Anurag Khanna 6th Aug, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

If we go through the analysis of marks Vs Percentile Vs rank for JEE-Main 2020 then according to the percentile mentioned by you in the question your CRL rank is expected to be in the range of 43478 - 48875 , you can check out marks Vs ranks Vs Percentile from the link given below :-

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-marks-vs-percentile

Or

You can also use JEE-Main Rank Predictor to predict your rank :-

https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-rank-predictor

As we go through the latest cut-offs of JEE-Main 2020 of JOSAA 6th round then it shows that :-

Closing CRL rank for NIT Trichy was :-

  • Mechanical Engineering branch - 17694  (Home state quota)
  • Mechanical Engineering branch - 6591 (Other state quota)

So you have very low or almost no chances to get NIT Trichy with Mechanical branch even if you have Home state quota .

But yes if you improve your percentile in any further session of JEE-Main like around 98.5+ then you might have a shot at NIT Trichy with Mechanical branch .

You can check out the latest cut-offs from the link given below :-

https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx

Note that the above prediction is made on the basis of latest cut-offs available on official website of JOSAA or CSAB and the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors such as the number of candidates appearing in an examination, the number of candidates qualifying an examination, difficulty level of the paper, and so on.

To have a list of all those colleges which you can get based upon your marks, category, and state you can use JEE-Main College Predictor:-

https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer

If you are preparing for JEE-Main 2021 or 2022 then I would recommend you to check the resources made by our experts to help aspirants like you in the best and smart preparation of JEE-Main 2021 or 2022 :-

I have got b.tech cse with spl in AI and ML in VIT AP and b.tech mechanical engineering in SRM Vadapalani, which is best Vit or SRM, which course should I choose,any one help me, bcoz I have confused about it ,

Aditya 6th Aug, 2021

Hi aspirant,

It is quite subjective question and my opinion will not matter if it not matches with your interest. CSE and ME are entirely different with CSE comprises scientific and engineering aspects of computing and designing automated machine systems and intelligent bots while in mechanical engineering will teach you to design, analyze, manufacture, and maintain mechanical systems. Now if doesn't matters and college is the only aspect you should go with Vit, AP considering both are not the main campus of their respective franchises. Vellore institute of technology has a higher ranking, better faculties and reputation in the educational world. To know more about VIT AP visit https://www.careers360.com/university/vit-ap-university-amaravati/amp

You can know more about SRM Institute of sciences and technology, Vadapalani at

Hope it helps!!

A motor running at 1500rpm drives a shaft at 750 rpm. IF the pulley diameter of driven shaft is 160mm.What is dia of motor shaft.

Niranjana 26th Jun, 2021
Hello,

The concept used here,

V2/V1 = (d1 + t)/ (d2 + t), the velocity ratio

V1=Velocity of motor

V2=Velocity of shaft

d2=diameter of driven shaft

d1=diameter of driving shaft

V1 = 1500 rpm. V2 =750 rpm. d2= 160 mm

As t is not given we can neglect the thickness

750/1500=d1/160

d1=80mm

Hope this helped.

I am from bihar I want to di mechanical engineering from jadhavpur university How many marks should be needed in wbjee entrance exam

Sampreeta S 4th Aug, 2021
Hello ,
To get the mechanical branch in Jadavpur University if you're not a West Bengal resident. Your cut off goes really high. So you really need to score more than 100 marks to be on the safe side. For engineering aspirants ,
Scoring between 100 to 130 marks will get you rank between 201 to 350 , which means you can easily get a seat in mechanical engineering. All the best.

Thank you.
